From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen
This is the first major artifact-driven exhibit about Springsteen’s legendary career from his early bands through his work with the E Street Band as a solo artist. The exhibit includes several of Springsteen’s guitars, including the Fender Esquire that is on the cover of Born to Run. It also includes the outfit he wore on the cover of Born in the U.S.A., as well as numerous handwritten lyric manuscripts, posters and handbills from all phases of his career, and various awards and honors. In addition, the exhibit features Springsteen’s 1960 Chevrolet Corvette, which he purchased after the success of Born to Run.
Live from Madison Square Garden: From the Lens of George Kalinsky
This exhibit documents many of the most important moments that have taken place on stage at Madison Square Garden by the venue’s official photographer, George Kalinksy. It includes iconic images such as John Lennon performing onstage with Elton John in 1974, the Rolling Stones’ first MSG show in 1969, Sly Stone’s wedding in 1974, photographs from Elvis Presley’s one-and-only appearance in 1972, a Bob Dylan tribute concert in 1992 and from the Concert for New York, a benefit for the victims of 9/11.

MOTOWN: The Sound of Young America Turns 50
The Rock Hall pays tribute to Motown’s 50th Anniversary. Included in the exhibit are instruments, clothing, programs, posters, sheet music, original music scores, recordings and other items representing an array of Motown’s biggest stars. Items from Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, the Supremes, the Four Tops, the Temptations, the Jackson 5, Rick James, Martha and the Vandellas and many others are featured.
2009 Inductee Exhibit
This exhibit honors the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s newest inductees: Run-D.M.C., Metallica, Bobby Womack, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Jeff Beck, Wanda Jackson, Bill Black, DJ Fontana and Spooner Oldham.

Michael Jackson Memorial Wall
In addition to the Rock Hall’s permanent Michael Jackson exhibition in the Legends of Rock exhibit, the Museum has unveiled a special memorial wall dedicated to Jackson’s life and legacy in the Ahmet M. Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall. Featured in the exhibit are rare photographs from throughout his musical career along with magazine covers and clothing items from Jackson’s personal collection from various television appearances, music videos and live concerts.
